Our Elders and Deacons

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Elders

Greg Johnson

Elder

Greg grew up in Rocky Mount, NC and was saved by the grace of God in 1984 at the age of 17 through the witness of a friend, reading the Bible, and attending a Bible study. He and his wife, Angela, met in college and were married in 1988. While pursuing the call to ministry and working on a Master of Divinity, God granted Greg and Angela their first child in 1990. She was born with Down’s Syndrome and a severe heart defect. After several surgeries and lengthy hospital stays, she died in 1991. Through this trial, the Lord grew Greg and Angela even more in their love for and trust in our sovereign and good God. It was also during that time that they became convinced of the sovereign grace of God in salvation and began to grow in their understanding of reformed theology. Greg earned his Master of Divinity in 1996 and was ordained by the church where he attended for several years during seminary. After serving as an associate pastor in a church in South Carolina, he and his family moved to the Charlotte, NC area to plant Grace Fellowship Church in 1997. The Lord has graciously blessed Greg and Angela with five other children and two grandchildren. The desire of Greg’s heart is to glorify God by being faithful to the Lord as a believer, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a pastor.
